“Do as I say, not as I do.” Have you heard your parents or teachers say that to you? So often we want our kids and teens to live better than we do, to have better habits and values that we do. This is a great desire. But youth learn more by seeing what we do, not listening to what we say. Instead, God calls us to live our lives in such a way that youth can emulate. As we disciple people younger than us, let’s live out the values we want them to develop so that we can say, “Do as I Do.”
