Different countries have different cultures, that is they have different ways of living and experiencing joy. Some focus on communal living, some on gaining honor for the family, and some on individual fulfillment. But God has called us to be citizens of a vastly more important Kingdom than any here on earth, the Kingdom of Heaven.

As royal citizens, we have the opportunity for supreme joy in God. The greatest joy a person can experience is wrapped up in God. So how do we experience that joy? What happens when we encounter barriers to joy? How can we continue to live joyfully in the midst of opposition from others?
