We have just remembered the events of Passion Week and celebrated Jesus’ resurrection victory over sin and death. There is another event that we can tend to overlook that should leave us in awe and give us great hope for the future. The Ascension of Jesus into heaven and His coronation as King at the right hand of the Father are foundational to our faith as Christians.

Both the Old and New Testaments speak of Jesus as Messiah, the King of Glory, reigning in total victory in heaven and earth until all of His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. How does that play out in history and how should it affect our lives as Christ followers today? We are going to explore those questions today and rejoice that our King is coming again!
